Role – Operations Manager role
Location – Based close to Norwich, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – Up to £45,000 per annum

Our client is a leading manufacturer in their field and they are currently recruiting for an operations manager to lead, develop and direct their team.
Applicants will have ideally worked in a similar role previously,
Main duties will include –
 Managing projects and processes from start to completion
 Building strong professional relationships with all staffing and customers
 Lead, attend and participate in staff meeting, leading and developing the team and ensuring all departments are working to a right first time approach.
 To lead all training programs for the team.
 To ensure the agreed levels of profit are met as discussed inline with management
 Able to identify and establish customer requirements
 To prepare fully for pre- contract meetings agreeing with your line manager and the estimator, a clear plan to ensure profit targets are met.
 · To seek permission for extra budgetary expenditure, ensuring that instructions are in place for any additional work prior to commencement with the details and costs recorded on the Data Base.
 · To ensure all sub-contractors are paid accurately and on time.
 · To create an atmosphere of motivation through being upbeat and positive.
 · To have monthly toolbox talks with the team, and deal with any concerns that team members have in a constructive way.
 · To work with estimators and the sales team to help win specific clients as agreed with line manager.
 manage realistic expectations in clients, and then exceed those expectations through excellent customer service such as never over -promising, always doing what you say you will do, handling problems quickly and professionally, returning calls quickly, keeping customers informed at all times, and ensuring excellent fitting on-time.
 · Abide by all statutory requirements including those relating to health and safety.
 · Adhere to and promote all company policies and procedures in place from time to time including those relating to HR and health and safety.

Candidate Attributes –

 To have worked in a similar role previously for a minimum of 5 years.
 Previous working experience of leading, developing and motivating a team
 Ability to juggle a number of roles at any given time
 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and deliver good quality project on time and within budget.
 To have a professional business acumen
 Ability to communicate with and at all levels across the business.
 Strong project management and health and safety experience
