Machine operator position

Role – Machine operator role
Location – Based close to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Hours – 6.00pm – 6.00am – Wednesday to Saturday , Thursday to Saturday – nights
6am – 6pm – Wednesday to Saturday , Thursday to Saturday – days
Rate of pay – Up to £14.75 per hour per hour whilst training and then
– Up to £21.02 per hour on shift – night shift
– Up to £16.37 per hour – day shift
Capacity of role – Temporary to Permanent positions
We are currently representing our client who is recruiting for a number of machine operators to join their busy workshop team.
Main duties will include –
• Working with engineering based machinery, setting and operating
• Following instructions working to customer specifications
• To inspect finished product, record data on a database and complete relevant written documentation.
• Pack components, wrap inner boxes and add labels to packaging as required
• Work to company specifications and report any product defects to management.
• To assist with making machine adjustments as required.
• Good housekeeping duties
• Carrying out testing and sorting of components.
Candidate attributes –
 Good communication skills
 Manufacturing and Engineering experience
 Machine operation knowledge
 Minimum of 5 years working in a similar position
 Ability to work various shifts
 Own transport due to the location
