Coded TIG/MMA position

Role – Coded TIG/MMA Welding position
Location – Thetford, Norfolk – working away will be required
Working hours – Monday to Friday – full time – call outs will be required
Rate of pay – Up to £20 ph.
Capacity of role – Permanent position

Our client is a leading manufacturer who is looking to add to their site fitting team.
Candidates will need to be coded in TIG (ideally) and MMA (desirable) Practises

Main duties will include –
 Oversee the selection and procurement of materials and equipment required for TIG welding
 Measure and align work pieces using straightedges, clamps, and calipers
 Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations
 Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts
 Oversee the set-up of TIG welding equipment
 Operate power and hand tools such as arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers
 Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel and aluminum,
 Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and codes
 Carry out preventative maintenance and repair of piping systems and metal structures
 Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements
 Oversee the training and mentoring of new and trainee TIG welders

Candidate attributes –

• Ideally proven codings in TIG/MMA welding,
• Familiarity with welding working on Stainless steel
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
• Mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the welding process.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work onsite and away from home as and when required
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
